These upgrades include version 4.0 of the Baijie AI Heterogeneous Computing Platform and version 3.0 of the Qianfan Large Model Platform, as well as a comprehensive update of AI native application products such as the Code Assistant, Intelligent Customer Service, and Digital Humans.

At the Baidu Cloud Intelligence Conference held today, Tang Jiayu, co-founder and CEO of Shengshu Technology, announced that Vidu, the first domestic video large model, officially opens its API and integrates with Baidu Intelligent Cloud's Qianfan Large Model Platform, becoming the first video large model on this platform. Vidu's self-developed video generation technology boasts advantages such as high dynamism, diverse styles, and exceptional reasoning. It has also launched the 'Subject Reference' feature globally, effectively solving the problem of consistent video model generation. Since its launch at the end of July, Vidu has received thousands of enterprise user integrations.

According to Baidu, the daily call volume of its Wenxin large model has exceeded 700 million, a figure that not only reflects its widespread application but also shows its popularity in the market. The Qianfan Large Model Platform from Baidu Smart Cloud has made breakthroughs in the number of models and has helped users fine-tune 30,000 large models.

To meet the needs of enterprises in the large model industry, Qianfan Large Model Platform 3.0 has undergone comprehensive upgrades on multiple levels. The platform now supports calls to nearly a hundred domestic and international large models, including the Wenxin series.

Recently, Baidu Intelligent Cloud's Qianfan Large Model Platform and three other AI native applications — Xiling, Keyue, and Zhenzhi — successfully passed the ISO/IEC 42001 standard certification for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems and were awarded the world's first certification for large model platform application systems. This certification indicates that Baidu's products and management systems have reached an internationally leading level in quality, safety, and compliance.

In 2023, the market size for large model platforms and related applications in China reached 1.765 billion RMB, with the market still in an early stage of investment and observation. Baidu Intelligent Cloud ranked first with a market share of 19.9%, followed closely by SenseTime, while ZhiPu AI stood out as a leading startup in third place. Lu Yanxia, IDC's Research Director in China, pointed out that the market will undergo several rounds of dramatic changes in the next 2-3 years, and continuous investment in foundational large model research and enhancing base model capabilities is key for companies to maintain their competitiveness. Emerging fields such as multimodal large models and scientific computing are also on the rise.
